*Study participants were children between 4-8 years Important Information about ZANTAC EFFERdose: Phenylketonurics: ZANTAC EFFERdose contains phenylalanine. The ZANTAC EFFERdose Tablet should be completely dissolved. Tablet is not to be chewed, swallowed whole, or dissolved on the tongue. The following have been reported as events in clinical trials or in the routine management of patients treated with ZANTAC: headache, sometimes severe; abdominal discomfort/pain; nausea and vomiting; constipation; rash; and diarrhea. Indicated for the treatment of children 1 month and older with GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Use of ZANTAC in pediatric patients with GERD is supported by adequate and well-controlled studies in adults with GERD, as well as additional pharmacokinetic data in pediatric patients and an analysis of the published literature.
