*In a comparative, clinical study of 102 healthy children (4-8 years), 71% preffered the taste of ZANTAC EFFERdose to the taste of ZANTAC Syrup. Participants tasted and swallowed one 45-mg dose of ZANTAC EFFERdose and one 45-mg dose of ZANTAC Syrup,in random order, with a 5-minute break between doses. They were asked, "Now that you have tasted both medicines, which one of these medicines do you think tasted better?"1


Important Information about ZANTAC EFFERdose:

Phenylketonurics: ZANTAC EFFERdose contains phenylalanine.
The ZANTAC EFFERdose Tablet should be completely dissolved. Tablet is not to be chewed, swallowed whole, or dissolved on the tongue.

The following have been reported as events in clinical trials or in the routine management of patients treated with ZANTAC: headache, sometimes severe; abdominal discomfort/pain; nausea and vomiting; constipation; rash; and diarrhea.

Safety and efficacy in neonates (less than 1 month of age), and for the treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions or the maintenance of healing of erosive esophagitis in pediatric patients, have not been established.
